The Opportunity
Are you passionate about helping others live safely and independently at home? We’re looking for Community Care Workers to join our supportive Client Connections team, providing flexible, person-centred services to older people and younger individuals with care needs.
These are permanent part-time opportunities with shifts available Monday to Saturday between 7:00am and 7:00pm, with a minimum availability of at least three weekdays, preferably starting as early as 7am.
Key Responsibilities
Working within the Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) and the Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC-PYP), you’ll support clients across the municipality with:
- Flexible Respite – supporting carers by giving them a well-earned break
- Personal Care – assisting with showering, dressing, and grooming
- Domestic Assistance – helping with housework, shopping, and meal preparation (Major component of the role)
- Social Support (Individual) – providing companionship and assisting clients to access essential appointments and to stay connected to their community

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community, Social Support Individual) or equivalent and/or experience in a relevant field that demonstrates capability to undertake the position.
- Ability to communicate with clients, carers and their representatives in a positive and supportive manner.
- Highly desirable experience in working with clients under the commonwealth home support programme.
- Current Level II First Aid Certificate
- Current valid Victorian Drivers licence and access to a safe and appropriately registered and comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for the purpose of transporting clients.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
- Available to work between Monday and Saturday 7am and 7pm, weekends, public holidays and irregular hours as service requires.
