The Opportunity
This fixed-term position within the Recreation & Community Activation team. It is a great opportunity to work with community sport and recreation clubs to guide, develop and support their sustainability and capacity to deliver effective services to the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of service, regular and clear communication to community sport and recreation clubs, community groups and residents regarding Council’s sport and recreation facilities, programs and services.
- Administer the allocation of recreation facilities on a seasonal, annual and casual basis.
- Undertake a proactive role in facility management and maintenance to meet the needs of the community including developing and managing occupancy agreements.
- Plan and deliver new and refurbishment projects and programs to recreation facilities.
- Provide guidance and support to community sport and recreation groups and contribute to the implementation of club development initiatives.
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Qualifications in relevant discipline such as recreation, sport management, community development or lesser formal qualification with relevant work skills and experience.
- Experience in working closely with sport, recreation and/or community groups and the administration of related projects and processes.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Current Working with Children Check.
