The Opportunity
The Arts and Events Administration Officer provides administrative support to the City Events and Arts Team whilst liaising with artists, program providers, event organisers and stakeholders.
Reporting directly to the Coordinator City Event and Arts, the role also includes assisting the team with planning and delivery of a diverse range of festivals and events, from small to large scale, in-line with community needs and objectives as outlined in Council’s Health and Wellbeing plan.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general administrative support for the City Events and Arts Team.
- Provide day-to-day timely and accurate customer service for external enquiries.
- Assist with the implementation and support the delivery of Council’s suite of arts programs, festivals, and events.
- Actively contribute to the development of community focused event opportunities and maintain positive working relations with staff, members of the general public and key stakeholders.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Post-secondary qualification in administration (below diploma level) or relevant office administration experience.
- Prior events experience would be an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to gain assistance from other employees and the public, with a demonstrated ability to adapt to new situations, showing initiative in responding to challenging and competing work tasks.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
