The Opportunity

The Catering Service fits within the Recreation & Facilities Activation Business Unit reporting to the Coordinator Leisure Centres.  There are several catering sites between Caroline Springs and the Melton Township.

The objective of the role is to deliver professional, effective, and efficient operations of Council’s Catering Service, and provide a high level of food presentation and customer service.

The fixed term position is part time position is for 20 hours per week ending December 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, warming, stocking and distribution of food and beverages at the catering site.
  • Maintain a high standard of customer service, venue presentation and food preparation.
  • Complete all day-to-day cleaning tasks to ensure a high standard of hygiene is maintained.
  • Assist when required, to set up tea/coffee stations and provide a waiting service for corporate meetings, events and functions.
  • Ensure working conditions and practices are in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety requirements and adhere to all guidelines in the Food Safety Program.
  • Support the Team Leader with stock ordering and collection of goods from suppliers.
  • Ensure all cash handling policy and procedures are adhered to at all times.
