Band 5 - Salary Range $81,006 to $93,280  per annum pro rata + 12% Super

The Opportunity

This position will see you combining your experience supervising staff with your love of continuous improvement and problem solving. The Family Day Care team is seeking a professional to provide support and guidance to Educators caring for children in their home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of educational programs. Train, advise and support educators to develop and implement educational programs and curriculum for all children in a family day care setting that meet the relevant Law, Regulations, National and Victorian Quality Framework and National Quality Standards, as the Educational Leader.
  • Monitor, resource and support educators through regular home visits, phone calls and other forms of contact to assess and ensure the quality of care and suitability of placements.
  • Undertake comprehensive annual safety assessment of educators’ homes and provide ongoing monitoring of safety during regular visits to the care environment.
  • Monitor the documentation of the education, care and development of children in care in accordance with the relevant legislation.
  • Lead in the recruitment, selection, training, orientation and evaluation of educators.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Children’s Services or equivalent with experience working within the family and children’s services field, preferably Family Day Care experience.
  • Current Level 2 or equivalent first aid, including CPR.
  • Current Anaphylaxis Awareness and Management Training.
  • Current Asthma Management Training.
  • Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
