The Opportunity
Are you passionate about creating exceptional experiences? At Melton City Council, we’re looking for a dynamic Experience Research & Insights Analyst to help us understand what matters most to our customers and employees and turn those insights into action. This is your chance to shape services that make a real difference in our growing community.
In this role, you will:
- Lead research projects that uncover customer and employee needs.
- Drive our Voice of Customer and Voice of Employee programs to capture meaningful insights.
- Transform data into stories and actionable recommendations.
- Drive innovation through human-centred design and evidence-based insights.
Key Responsibilities
You’ll play a hands-on role in turning insights into action by leading experience research and analysis that informs better services.

- Design and deliver surveys, interviews, and focus groups to capture experience insights.
- Analyse data and create clear, compelling reports and dashboards.
- Embed insights into customer experience service design and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure research meets privacy, ethical, and legislative standards.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:

- A passion for improving customer and employee experiences.
- Tertiary qualifications in social research, behavioural science, market research or a related field (IAP2 and Human-Centred Design highly regarded).
- Strong research and analytical skills, with experience in survey design and data tools (e.g., Power BI, SPSS, Qualtrics).
- Well-proven project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with confidence.
- Excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders and present insights that inspire action.
