The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Coordinator Infrastructure Planning and Development in the City Infrastructure Planning Department, reporting to the Manager of City Infrastructure Planning. You will lead a high performing team and play a pivotal role in the planning of long-term transportation and social infrastructure to accommodate the fast-growing population.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the development and ongoing management of the long-term capital works pipeline. , to achieve Ensure program sustainably meets the needs of the growing community and ensure smooth delivery of infrastructure projects by the organisation.
- Strategically plan and coordinate all land acquisition activities within growth areas to support the long-term infrastructure plan.
- Coordinate with State Government agencies and utility supply companies with regards to the provision of state infrastructure and regional transmission services and understand service delivery impacts on Council/Developer lead projects.
- Review and implement policies and guidelines associated with key infrastructure provision to service population growth.
- Ensure effective internal and external stakeholder consultation by actively engaging and involving relevant parties within the organisation throughout the decision-making and planning processes.
- Interpret and evaluate service strategy reports and other background information required for the production of Council’s long-term Infrastructure pipeline.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Tertiary qualification in engineering, project management, strategy, business management or a relevant discipline.
- Substantial experience in the planning of infrastructure to service population growth and working with the Growth Area Planning processes.
- A passion for leading a team and people management
- A current valid Victorian driver’s licence is required.
