The Opportunity
With unprecedented growth in the region, Melton continues to receive new Open Space assets to manage. Council’s Operations department is seeking a skilled Administration Support Officer to assist in managing these assets.
This role provides an opportunity to work as part of the Parks and Open Space team in their provision of maintenance services to the community. The position reports to the Coordinator of Parks and Open Space under the City Delivery directorate.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaising with Councils contractors to maximise the efficiency of these services to residents.
- Preparing payments for services relating to Parks and Open Space.
- Providing administrative support to Council’s Parks and Open Space service unit.
- Providing excellent customer service to Council’s Operational Centre, stakeholders and customers.
- Assisting with the maintenance of databases

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Post-secondary qualification in Administration or relevant office administration experience.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplined team to achieve set objectives, specifically in the field of maintenance.
- The ability to receive, review and action incoming documentation and register into a Document Management System.
- The ability to allocate outstanding actions to relevant task lists by following adopted business rules and processes.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
