Casual $44.19 per annum + 12% Super

Option 5 - Mon, Thu & Fri Between 7am – 4pm
Please note you will not be rostered for the full duration of your availability.
The Recruitment Process
Please note shortlisted candidates will be required to attend an Assessment Group Interview, which forms part of our recruitment process. The session will involve a range of practical activities designed to reflect real customer service scenarios, along with a short structured interview.
Applicants must be available to attend one of the following Group Assessment sessions, as part of the application process:

- Thursday the 28th of May 2026
Applicants who are not selected on this occasion may be placed in a talent pool, which may be used to fill similar Community Care Worker roles that become available in the future.

The Opportunity
We are seeking Community Care Workers to join our supportive Client Connections team within the Community Care & Active Living department. As a Community Care Worker, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred support under the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) and the Home and Community Care Program for Younger People (HACC-PYP).
In this role, you support clients with domestic assistance such as cleaning, laundry, shopping, and light meal preparation to maintain a safe home environment. You provide respectful personal care including showering, dressing, grooming, and medication prompting. The role includes social support through companionship, community access, and transport to essential appointments. You also deliver respite care to support carers while ensuring client safety and engagement.
Ongoing wellbeing monitoring is required to identify and report changes in clients’ health. You contribute to the team by collaborating with colleagues, attending meetings, and participating in training, while maintaining accurate administration and documentation to support quality service delivery.
Please note you will be required to attend to multiple services of various durations each working day across the municipality.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Experience working with Aged or elderly community members, people living with a chronic and/or long-term illness or disability
- A genuine commitment to person-centred care and supporting older people and younger people with disabilities.
- Physically fit and able to perform everyday tasks such as vacuuming, lifting, and practical household support.
- Knowledge of CHSP and HACC-PYP principles, including independence, wellbeing, social inclusion, and carer support.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate with clients, carers and their representatives in a positive and supportive manner and gain trust.
- Strong understanding of commitment to duty of care.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence, appropriately registered and comprehensively insured vehicle suitable for the purpose of transporting clients.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
- Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent qualification) or relevant experience.
- Current Level II First Aid Certificate & CPR.
