The Opportunity
Within the Early Childhood team of Melton City Councils Child, Families and Youth, the Kindergarten Registration Officer will be part of a passionate and innovative team who is responsible for the successful delivery of Kindergarten Central Registration’s to the community.
The Kindergarten Registration Officer will provide support to the Early Childhood team, and Child, Families and Youth team while providing excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- To complete all administration duties associated with Kindergarten Central Registration and ensure accurate and timely processing of Kindergarten registrations in line with relevant policies.
- Maintain professional relationships with relevant stakeholders and attend to customer enquiries promptly, efficiently and in accordance with Council’s Customer Service Charter.
- To provide quality administrative support to the Early Childhood team and Child, families and Youth team when required.
- Maintain data and produce reports for use in strategic planning and participate in the testing, evaluation and implementation of systems and processes to support continuous improvement.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
- Experience in using relevant software packages such as Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook, Xpedite or other equivalent data base applications.
- Qualification or experience in general administration and customer service.
- Experience in developing reports, preparing documents and correspondence related to the delivery of Early Childhood Programs.
- Demonstrated ability to work under high volume workload cooperatively in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability in communicating effectively and resolving conflict with the ability to manage time, set priorities and plan and organise work to meet timelines.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
