The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated individual to join the Recreation and Facility Activation Business Unit as the Facility Service & Support Officer. The City of Melton is the fastest growing municipality in Australia and home to a vibrant and diverse community.
Reporting to the Coordinator Leisure Centres, this position plays an important role in helping to deliver and enhance the health and wellbeing of residents in the City of Melton.
The Facilities Service Support Officer is responsible for building relationships with key stakeholders to develop opportunities to activate the indoor sport stadiums within the City of Melton. This role will also support the provision of a range of accessible indoor recreation programs and initiatives that encourage participation consistent with Council’s strategic priorities.
We are looking for someone who has a high level of professional customer service techniques and communication skills, an understanding of Occupational Health & Safety, and who is well organised to support the daily operations of Council’s indoor stadiums.

About you
This position requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic person that can gain co-operation and maintain genuine relationships with tenants, members of the public and internal stakeholders.
To be successful in this role you will have the following:

Has post-secondary qualifications with on-the-job training or lesser qualification with experience in the provision of high-level customer service.

Experience in maintaining administrative systems and word processing duties are essential.
- Current valid Victorian Driver’s Licence.
- Must hold or be able to obtain an Employee Working with Children Check.
